This year, MCM Birmingham Comic Con takes place at The NEC (National Exhibition Centre), in Birmingham. Let’s take a look at what’s on offer.
The Comic Village is for creators, artists, writers and fans of the comic medium. From the dealer stalls you get the chance to buy the very best from the worlds of Movies, Anime, Manga, TV, Comics, Trading Cards, Actions Figures and the likes. The Cosplay and Masquerade are another big attraction of the event, and though the sign-ups for the official event are now closed, you can still display your costume for the masses as you walk around the con. You will also have a chance to see robots from the BBC’s smash hit TV show ‘ROBOT WARS’, as they fight live. As a new addition, the Ultra Street Fighter 4 Tournaments has arrived – sign ups for this tournament are limited to 32 players per day.
Among the guests you’ll find Liv Tayler – you know who she is, right? – Dina Meyer (Starship troopers), Lee Majors (The 6 Million Dollars Man), the creators and actors of Wireless, stars from Game of Thrones.
