We have followed with interest the setting up of Evil In The Shining Light, and this past weekend, the SFFN was finally able to visit the Tolkien inspired exhibition in Bank Street Arts.

Bank Street Arts is a very vibrant space with a rich annual programme. One such event is Opening Up The Book, where written words and art meet. It was as part of this event, that curator John Cockshaw assembled his team of fantastic artists and writers to create the Evil In The Shining Light exhibition, a show revolving around JRR Tolkien’s Middle-earth.

In this short film, you will have a chance to see the individual work of artists and writers, as well as hear from artist/curator John Cockshaw, artist Jay Johnstone, archaeologist Shaun Richardson and Jessie Greenfield, Marketing Coordinator at BSA.

Among the artists we also have Soni Alcorn-Hender, Tomas Hijo, Tsvetelina Krumova, Ted Nasmith and Katarzyna Chmiel-Gugulska. Other contributors on the programme were Marcel Aubron-Bülles and reference was made to the work of author Doug Adams.

And now let’s take a look at the video!
