Author’s Note: This is my adaptation of the English translation of the Vulcan Anthem, originally in the Vulcanian language, from the Star Trek fan-base. I do not lay claim to the original; only this variation, outlining the Vulcan philosophy. I dedicate this to all my Jewish friends, as I can’t help draw parallels between them and the rich culture of Vulcan, especially their language which sounds so similar to Hebrew. RIP, Leonard Nimoy.

Avellina Balestri (aka Rosaria Marie) is one of the founding members and the Editor-in-Chief of The Fellowship of the King, a literary magazine with a strong Tolkienite influence (which, by the way, is open to submissions).
