Dearest readers,

After 9 months of hard work, the SFFN is ready to celebrate the end of a fantastic, inaugural year.

The way you have welcomed the SFFN has been amazing, and not just in terms of online views, but also in the way you interact with us at conventions or via email: you showed us that you care and you have no idea how important it is for us at such early stage of our journey. We are all volunteers, and we do this because we love Fantasy and Science Fiction, we love writing, we love networking and we love meeting like-minded people from all over the world! Your support and readership is what allows us to keep doing what we do. Thank you!

In September, Katie Alford (Gaming Editor) has joined our family, and is now working alongside Joel Cornah (Doctor Who Editor) and Rostislav Kurka (Star Wars Editor). Dani Gutsch (Star Trek Editor) will be away for a while, but do not fear: you will hear from her again!

Let’s talk presents now: Joel has asked for dinner in the Tardis and a complete set of sonic screwdrivers; Rosta wants a lightsaber so he can explain a few things to Kylo Ren; Katie and I are after some R&R with Geralt of Rivia, however, I may be able to keep Geralt if Katie gets full access to a certain mage from Dragon Age Inquisition: Trespasser…

A big thank you to our amazing NetCons around the world, who send us their stories, articles and interviews, making the SFFN the original, eclectic pot of Fantasy and SF that it is.

And as always, a huge thank you to the people who support us along this journey: Jay Johnstone, Nathan Squires, Claire Leonard and Dee Lunn – we couldn’t have done this without you.

May this festive season bring you joy and peace!
