No Man’s Sky will be released this week on PS4 and PC. The exact date will differ depending on the platform and where you live. On PS4 it is due for release in North America on the 9th and in Europe on the 10th. If you want it for PC or in another region then you’ll have to wait until the 12th to get your hands on a copy, at which point it will launch worldwide.
If you’ve missed the hype then No Man’s Sky is an open world exploration game. The world is infinitely generated as you fly between planets to explore and survive. Dangers lurk on land and in space with combat split between first person combat, on the ground, and spaceship dogfights in space. You can collect resources and trade for supplies, but what you do or where you go is entirely up to you.
This game has been eagerly anticipated by gamers and from the screenshots it’s easy to see why. The graphics are stunning, and this infinite and beautifully crafted world has all been made by a small development team. I can only assume that sleep is long overdue at Hello Games’ studio.
