Ron Hone has worked for decades in the special effect sector, indeed from the early 70s.
In 1980 he was involved in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, where he was heavily involved with robot fabrication and supervision (production and mechanical effects unit). After that worked on incredible sets, from 007 to World War Z, to Prometheus.
