Scotland Loves Anime is the first chance you’ll have to see the best of anime at the cinema.
Director Andrew Partridge says:
“Scotland Loves Animation is a charity promoting animation as art. […] Our annual film festival, Scotland Loves Anime, has become renowned as the UK’s top film festival for Japanese animation. […]
Remember, too, that Scotland Loves Anime is […] the only place to meet the people behind the magic – with Glasgow hosting Yoshimi Itazu, animation director of last year’s Golden Partridge winner, Miss Hokusai, and director of his first work, Pigtails, which headlines a programme of Production I.G. shorts.
Our education day is back again too at Edinburgh College of Art, designed to foster links between students and the animation industry. This is always a great chance to learn from some of the most successful professionals in animation, make important connections and share ideas with other students from across the country.”
There are several events running throughout the festival, both in Glasgow and Edinburgh. You can book your tickets online, on the events page. Glasgow Film Theatre and the Edinburgh Filmhouse will be the official venues of the Scotland Loves Anime festival.
I know what I want to watch, Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV. It’s on in Edinburgh, October 21st at 15:45. It’s my favourite series and I will leave you with the trailer.
