The Arthur C Clarke Award is one of the UK’s most prestigious science fiction prize, and last night it went to British author Adrian Tchaikovsky.
The novel ‘Children of Time’, revolves around the remnants of humanity as they leave Earth for a terraformed new planet which, as it turns out, has already been occupied by a new species.
