The Circuit, which will highlight 10 original stories, intertwined and occurring over a single pop culture convention weekend will bring together some of the best known genre actors from film, television and the Web while also joining some of the most noted production, design and visual effects professionals in the production industry. The campaign is designed to raise production dollars while also outreaching to fans to submit scripts and resumes to make the project a true collaboration between fans and filmmakers.

Executive producer/writer/director Manu Intiraymi states, “actors such as Walter Koenig (Star Trek), Ryan Eggold (The Blacklist), Sylvester McCoy (The Hobbit films, Doctor Who: Death Comes to Time), Tim Russ (Star Trek, 5th Passenger, I Carly), Gigi Edgley (Farscape), Mindy Robinson (King of the Nerds), Olivia D’abo (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Justice League) and Armin Shimerman (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) are slated to join the cast with more signing on weekly.” “The intention of The Circuit is to bring together all of the elements that make Sci-Fi and genre films and shows unique to fans and audiences while also providing them an opportunity to fully participate.”

Producer and writer Timothy Gagliardo further states “this is a multi genre anthology film that takes place over the weekend of one pop Culture convention. 2016 is the 50th Anniversary of Pop Culture conventions as we know them! The time for this film is now, and the ability to bring audiences into the creative process with actors and filmmakers from such noted films and shows as ‘Star Trek,’ ’Buffy the Vampire Slayer,’ ‘Battlestar Gallactica,’ ‘Farscape,’ ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘The Blacklist’ is a unique way to crowd source and create a film that has universal appeal to a rabid fan base.” “Whether someone has or has not attended a pop-culture convention like Comic-Con or a Star Trek gathering, the imagery and intensity and most importantly, the fun of such ‘cons’ is infectious to those impassioned by the genre world and its offerings.”

Production is scheduled to begin in early December with an anticipated release date of Fall 2017.
