Do you ever have that feeling? Something wicked this way comes, something very, very wicked? In this case, it’s coming in the year 2016, for the 50th anniversary of Star Trek.

It is unusually quiet on the Star Trek front at the moment, but at the same time there are so many interesting projects going on that I can hardly keep tabs. All this creates a lot of rumours, and many of them revolve around Garrett Wang (Ensign Harry Kim, Star Trek: Voyager).

While most of us hoped that Garrett would be starring in the upcoming “Star Trek: Renegades” movie, he had to decline the offer because of scheduling conflicts with “another project”. Rumour has it that Garrett Wang will appear on the big screen in Star Trek: Axanar (an independent movie about Captain Kirk’s hero Captain Garth) – which has been confirmed by Axanar Productions in July 2014 – and Imdb is suggesting that he is starring in Star Trek: Equinox (which is currently being filmed). I couldn’t confirm the latter, since Garrett Wang is not listed in the full cast of Equinox.

Luckily I got my hands on an exclusive interview with the man himself, in which he reveals that he is currently working on a secret, SciFi-comedy project. And this project is “Unbelievable!!!!! – The Movie“. Archangel Films managed to gather an impressive cast with a lot of Star Trek alumni for this independent movie, including Garrett Wang, Nana Visitor, Michael Dorn, Linda Park, Nichelle Nichols, Robert Picardo, Tim Russ, Armin Shimerman, Walter Koenig, Connor Trinneer, Chase Masterson and Manu Intiraymi. Author, director and producer is Steven L. Fawcette.

Unbelievable!!!!! is a parody of the Sci Fi movies of the 1950s and 60s, intentionally using “crappy” special effects and wooden dialogues as stylistic devices. And while there is a lot of Trek involved (and lovingly made fun of), at least I was able to spot some Star Wars and Babylon 5 in the trailer too. Actually I can’t wait for this independent film to finally be released (planned for either July or October this year), because this movie really keeps its secrets well, making me just the more greedy to be able to watch it. Until then you can follow Unbelievable!!!! on Facebook and watch goodies like pictures behind the scenes and get in touch with the team.

And now, watch the trailer!
