The Overwatch team have just revealed the latest hero to be added to their roster with the release of a new origins video along with a post on their official twitter account. According their twitter post, Sigma is an eccentric astrophysicist who hopes to unlock the secrets of the universe, unaware that he is being used as a living weapon.
There’s no details yet as to what role this new character might fill, but he does look rather tanky and current speculation is placing him in that camp. Feel free to watch the origin movie, linked above, and draw your own conclusion.
In other Overwatch news, the addition of a role queue was also recently announced which will allow people to queue as Tank, Support or DPS, as opposed to the current system which leaves everyone to choose their roles when a group is formed, often forcing responsible players into Tank/ Support roles. There will also be incentives for those who queue as the most needed role to help reduce queue times.
